Best friends since childhood, Grillies founders, Vas, Petros and Yannis, grew up spending summers together in the Mediterranean noshing on Halloumi at almost every meal. The cheese was a beach barbecue staple, along with gyros, souvlaki and saganaki. Their joint passion for Halloumi and firm belief that the best things in life are meant to be shared eventually inspired them to create Grillies in 2015. Drawing on their firsthand experiences, Vas’s long family history of making Halloumi, and with their combined creativity, they came up with innovative recipes that put a modern twist on the traditional cheese they loved as kids.
