Grillies Veggie Mini-Burgers


These vegetarian bite-sized burgers are a great idea for a snack party. Their delicious bread crumbs coating makes them as flavorful and rich as their meaty counterpart.

  • 12 ozGrillies Cubes

  • 1 Egg, beaten (Egg mixture)

  • 1.25 TspSalt (Egg mixture)

  • 0.5 TspChili (Egg mixture)

  • 1 TbspKetchup (Egg mixture)

  • 2 TspMustard (Egg mixture)

  • 2 Tspbread crumbs (Egg mixture)

  • Vegetable Oil for frying (Egg mixture)

  • 2 ozbread crumbs (To Coat)

  • 12 Mini poppy seed rolls (To Serve)

  • Ketchup (To Serve)

  • Mayonnaise (To Serve)

  • 2 Gherkins thinly sliced (To Serve)

  1. Combine egg, salt, chili powder, ketchup, mustard and breadcrumbs in a medium mixing bowl; stir well.

  2. Place the bread crumb in medium plate.

  3. Dip each Grillies cube in the egg mixture and dredge in the bread crumbs to coat.

  4. Heat 1/2 inch of oil in a large skillet. Add the breaded Grillies in several batches, and fry six to seven minutes or until golden, turning frequently. Add additional oil if necessary. Drain well on paper towels.

  5. Cut the buns in half and spread the ketchup and mayonnaise onto them. Fill the buns with the golden cubes and some sliced gherkins. Secure with toothpicks and serve immediately.
